To know Joey Smith is to adore him. I’ve had the immense honor to create for him many times now, sometimes secretly, sometimes at his request.
Joey’s generous kindred spirit has definitely ushered some foundational gusts of wind beneath my wings as I’ve built my creative life the last 8 years, commissioning murals, quilts, and vibes. In addition, he grows my veggies! Name a more nourishing community member, I’ll wait.
Pictured here is a recent memory quilt I made from a stack of his sentimental teeshirts. Sliced up, stabilized, and puzzle pieced back together with suns and stars and a ton of love, to snuggle and recollect.
